Who am I, and how did this site come to be?

I design websites for individuals and small businesses.  A couple of years ago I was looking for a domain name for a customer and ran across the name AZgop.com.  It seemed strange that such a short, specific name would still be available.  I just assumed the Republican Party would have registered all of these for future use by their candidates.  Boy was I wrong.  There were lots of names like that available!  In fact, the pool of available names was larger than my budget.

Some research showed that GOP is universally used to refer to the Republican Party while the Democratic Party is referenced by a variety of names.  My original goal was to get one name for each state abbreviation using the same pattern. Names with GOP were the most affordable.  I looked at every state and found a few where the state organization was clever enough to have registered the names themselves.  I found one where a Democrat had registered the Republican name and was using it in an effort to annoy them.

Now it is time to put my collection of names to work.  This site, USGOP.com is where I plan to put information of interest to everyone.  I will use the state sites for information and examples of state specific issues.  I am working on some candidate sites of my own and will provide links to them also.
